Cleaning and degreasing.

the surfaces are sanded. This helps remove the glossy finish and creates grip for the primer. You don’t always need to strip everything down to raw wood—just enough sanding to dull the surface.

Cabinet painting process

  • When we paint cabinets, we follow a detailed process to ensure every project receives a smooth, durable, and professional finish. First, we remove all cabinet doors, drawers, and hardware so each surface can be properly prepared and painted. We carefully label everything to keep the installation process organized and efficient.

  • Next, we thoroughly clean and degrease all surfaces to remove dirt, grease, and buildup that could affect paint adhesion. Once the cabinets are clean, we sand the surfaces to remove the glossy finish and create the proper texture for the primer to bond correctly.

  • After sanding, we apply a high-quality bonding primer specifically designed for cabinet surfaces. This important step helps create a strong foundation and improves the durability of the final finish. Once the primer dries, we lightly sand a second time to smooth out any imperfections and prepare the cabinets for painting.

  • We then apply multiple coats of premium cabinet-grade paint using professional techniques to achieve a smooth, factory-like appearance. Between coats we sand again and we carefully inspect each surface to maintain a clean and consistent finish.

  • Finally, after the paint has fully dried and cured, we reinstall the doors, drawers, and hardware while making sure everything is aligned and functioning properly. Our goal is always to deliver beautifully refinished cabinets that give your kitchen or bathroom a fresh, modern, and long-lasting look.
